Amino acids are represented by pitches (lower = hydrophobic, higher = hydrophilic);
hydrophobic acids sound more "oily", while the electrically charged hydrophilic acids ring out.
Residues with lower confidence (brighter colors) are softer.
Secondary structure is represented by different timbre palettes: Helices are violin, glass & harp;
Sheets are guitars (muted, open strings, harmonics); and coil is represented by gamelan.
Panning represents the spatial location of each residue, according to the protein's longest axis.
